About the Internship

Trimark Properties is searching for an enthusiastic and results-driven Digital Marketing & Advertising Intern to join their growing Marketing Department for Spring 2017 and Summer 2017. The Marketing & Advertising Intern wears many hats and will build a variety of skills through this great internship in Gainesville FL; the internship involves working with a professional marketing/advertising team and a fast-paced web development team to learn how to develop advertising campaigns, marketing communications plans, design effective websites, search engine optimization programs, social media campaigns, and strategic digital (web-based) marketing plans. The candidate should be a sophomore, junior or senior studying Business, Journalism/Communications, Marketing, Management, PR or Advertising. The chosen applicant will gain an invaluable experience. You’ll out-compete other students when you graduate and gain confidence for interviews, and learn from an industry leader. Serious applicants only; this is not a sales or “coffee and copying” type of internship. A driven personality will excel in the role.

POSITION:

  • Digital Marketing & Advertising Associate Intern
  • Part-time internship: 15 hours per week; design your own flexible schedule
  • Joins the in-house marketing and advertising department
  • Located at the company headquarters, located in Gainesville Florida (across the street from the University of Florida)

    • DESCRIPTION:

    Work with a professional marketing and web development team to develop:
  • Action-oriented websites
  • Website usability and marketing reports
  • Targeted advertising campaigns
  • Marketing communications plans
  • Search engine optimization programs
  • Social media campaigns
  • Web-based marketing strategies
  • Strategic marketing plans
  • Mentorship training program provided; work one-on-one with experienced team members
  • Be involved in important decision making meetings and have a direct effect on the direction the company takes
  • Report directly to the Marketing Coordinator; work with Web Developers, Graphic Designers and Marketing Specialists
  • Other duties, as assigned

    • REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants should be sophomores, juniors or seniors studying Business, Journalism/ Communications, Marketing, Management, PR, or Advertising
  • Must be computer savvy
  • Must be passionate about marketing
  • You must want to gain MAD skills. Seriously. We want to make you better.

    • EXTRA POINTS IF THIS DESCRIBES YOU:

  • Students looking to work for 2 or more semesters (i.e. looking for longer work experience for their resumes)
  • Previous marketing experience, social media experience, or knowledge of Adobe Suite
  • Familiar with Google Analytics or related web analytics tools
  • Happy to work in a fast paced environment
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Hard working, results-driven attitude
  • Friendly and easy to get along with
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Adaptable, flexible, and priority-driven

    • COMPENSATION:

  • Trimark’s internships (like most other internships that don’t require out-of-city travel) are not paid internships
  • Qualified applicants can apply for 1-3 UF class credits for the internship
