STEPS FROM UF CLASSESDid you know that some of the traditional UF dorms (like Lakeside) are more than a mile from UF classes? Don’t risk being so far away from classes (or that the closest dining hall will be a half mile away). Windsor Hall is steps from UF classes, libraries, Broward dining, intramurals, sorority row, and UF fraternities.
CHOOSE FROM 2 ROOM STYLESStudents who choose to live at Windsor Hall can choose from Double or Private Single dorm suites. Every dorm room at Windsor Hall has an attached bathroom and kitchenette.
CHEAPER THAN TRADITIONAL DORMS (and bigger rooms, too!)
GUARANTEED PLACEMENTDid you know that when you sign up for traditional dorm rooms (such as Broward Hall, Murphee Hall, Lakeside, Hume, or Jennings) that you are not guaranteed placement into the dorm you request and not guaranteed placement into the room style that you request? It’s true. But at Windsor Hall and Ivy House, you are guaranteed placement into both the building and the room style that you sign up for. Be sure to sign up early in the year for Fall move-in. Unlike traditional dorms, Windsor Hall and Ivy House do not overbook rooms or assign students into the infamously small “temporary triples”.
CHOOSE from CO-ED or FEMALE-ONLY LIVINGWindsor Hall offers two dorm buildings. Building A is female-only, and Building B is co-ed. Students can request the living style that fits their personality best.
ATTACHED BATHROOMS & KITCHENETTESEvery dorm room at Windsor Hall is a suite with attached luxury bathroom. Students who choose to live in a double dorm room will only share a bathroom with one other person (their roommate). Students who sign up for single dorm suites can choose from shared bathrooms and kitchenettes (placed between two singles) or private bathrooms. And yes; incoming freshman ARE eligible for single dorm suites.
PERSONALITY-BASED ROOMMATE MATCHINGWith the traditional UF dorms (like Broward, Beaty, Jennings, etc) roommates are randomly assigned based on gender alone. At Windsor Hall, roommates are professionally matched using personality based assessments. Students are matched with other students with similar study habits, waking/sleeping hours, hobbies, and cleanliness. Imagine the difference that this can make! Roommate stress can make or break an academic year (especially when you are sharing a double dorm room!)
